Welcome to Parentingbits privacy policy. This is to ensure that you receive a very clear view regarding the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of your information regarding Parentingbits.com. All the Terms and Conditions regarding the site are listed here so read it carefully.   1. Information Collection

Parentingbits.com is exclusively a personal blog and is the sole owner of all the information displayed on the site. We might collect information from other users at a number of different points from the respective sites.

Comments

  • Users can, rather are encouraged to leave comments on the various articles in order to voice their opinion, make the articles better or as feedback (appreciation would be good as well).
  • Commenters cannot register anonymously. However, in case a third party complains that a particular comment breaches our Terms of Use, then in accordance with the same, appropriate action will be taken.
  • If it is required by law to disclose the commenters’ contact info, we will try our level best to provide the commenter with an opportunity to respond to such request.

Mailing Lists & Service Emails

  • Users signing up for the mailing list will receive regular e-mails from the site. As a sign of our continued effort (which we always try to keep up), the user e-mail usage might be tracked from time to time.
  • With the aim of providing subscribers with relevant updates or round-ups, the site may launch a mailing list. Like the majority of sites, in order to sign-up to receive regular mails regarding the hottest topics etc, the users must submit information including a valid email address and demographic information such as location and interests. But do not worry users! Your information is totally safe with us  and will be used as aggregate form only in order to access general user interest in various internal and third party products and services. Rest assured it won’t be divulged or passed to any other organization.
  • Mostly the mails will be content from the site in question, but  occasionally we might  send out an e-mail from a third party sponsor. This would be rare and would not mean any endorsement by the Site of any products advertised therein- IT WOULD BE PURELY ADVERTISING.
  • Be assured that we will never send out a sponsored email in the guise of a glowing product review, because editorial independence is critical to us.
  • Do not sign up for the mailing list if you do not wish to receive e-mails from third party advertisers.

Comment service and cookies

  • In order to further enhance the user- experience, The site runs a comment service where the users can discuss common topics of interest, on some or all of these sites.
  • Users have the option of signing up for this service and would have to provide some valid information to do so.
  • These comments are used by the Site to analyze and  screen out the users leaving comments prohibited by our Terms of Use and to pick out topics of interest to the users.

  • This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the site.
  • The site contains links to other sites. Be aware that that the Site is not responsible for the privacy practices of all other sites. Users beware while leaving our site and please do read the privacy statements of each website that collects personally identifiable information.

Log Files

We too use log files like all other sites.

The log file includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. We may use a tracking utility that uses log files to analyze user movement.

If ever the site encounters a business transition such as- a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of a portion of it’s assets,  all users’ personal information, in most instances, will be a part of the assets transferred.
